The results of a study published in the Journal Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research, indicate that alcohol causes people to wake up earlier than usual. The research was conducted by a team from the University of Akita, Japan.
They provide three different doses of pure alcohol at intervals of three weeks to the respondent. Then, they tested the quality of sleep. The study also found that drinking toomuch before bed is not only interfere with sleep but also have a negative effect on the body's digestive system and can cause other illnesses.
"Alcohol affects sleep framework entirely," said Dr. Yohei Sagawa, from AkitaUniversity, quoted by Female First.
